Helena, OH

United States

United States

Helena is a small farming village in north-central Ohio's Sandusky County, about 45 miles southeast of Toledo. State Route 12 runs through town, connecting east to Fremont and west toward rural areas. Most traffic involves local trips to Fremont for services or longer drives to Toledo and Cleveland. The flat agricultural terrain makes for easy driving except during winter lake-effect snow from Lake Erie. Helena's towering grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a landmark visible across the surrounding farmland.
