Hedrick is a small farming town of about 900 people in south-central Iowa's Keokuk County. Highway 149 runs right through town, connecting north to Sigourney and south toward the Missouri border. Most visitors arrive via Highway 34 from Ottumwa (25 miles southeast) or take state routes from Iowa City (60 miles northeast). The historic grain elevator along Highway 149 has been guiding travelers to this agricultural community for decades.
