Headland is a small city in southeastern Alabama, about 15 miles northwest of Dothan via State Route 134. US Highway 431 provides the main north-south corridor, connecting to Montgomery and serving longer-distance travelers. The town of 5,200 sits in the heart of Alabama's Wiregrass region among rolling pine forests and farmland. Headland's restored 1920s movie theater on Main Street still shows films and hosts community events.
