Hazleton is a small farming town of 720 people in northeastern Iowa's Buchanan County. Highway 150 runs right through town, connecting to Independence 15 miles south and Oelwein 20 miles north. Most visitors come from nearby agricultural communities or the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area about 45 minutes away. The working grain elevator by the railroad tracks has been shipping local crops since the late 1800s.
