Hazen is a small Delta farming town in Prairie County, about 50 miles northeast of Little Rock via Highway 70. Most visitors take I-40 east to Brinkley, then head north on Highway 49 to Highway 70. The town of 1,900 sits on flat agricultural land perfect for rice farming. Each October, Hazen hosts the Rice Festival celebrating the crop that built the local economy.
