Hazelwood is a St. Louis County suburb strategically located next to Lambert Airport, connected by Interstate 270 and Highway 370. Popular routes include airport runs via I-270 and commuter trips along Lindbergh Boulevard to downtown St. Louis. The city grew around the massive Ford assembly plant that operated here for over 40 years until 2006.
