Hazelton is a farming town of about 200 people in south-central North Dakota, roughly 50 miles southeast of Bismarck via US Highway 83. The drive from Fargo takes about two hours using Interstate 94 west to US 83 south. Most routes cross endless wheat and corn fields across the rolling prairie. The town's towering grain elevator serves as a landmark visible for miles across the flat landscape.
