Hazard is a tiny farming community in central Nebraska's Sherman County, connected by Highway 10 about 25 miles northwest of Loup City. The area features rolling prairie typical of the Great Plains, with most routes serving local agricultural traffic between Loup River valley towns. The village preserves a classic 1904 one-room schoolhouse.
