Hays is a small community in Central Texas, about 15 miles south of Austin via I-35. Located in the rolling hills between Austin and San Antonio, it sees heavy commuter traffic and weekend travelers. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is 25 miles northeast. The area retains its rural feel with limestone foundations from German settlers still visible on many properties.
