Hayden is a small Alabama town of about 1,400 people located 35 miles northeast of Birmingham in the scenic Appalachian foothills. Take I-65 north to Exit 284, then Highway 160 west for 8 miles to reach downtown. The town sits along a former Louisville and Nashville Railroad route, and the old railroad bed now serves as a walking trail through the town center.
