Hawley is a small Minnesota city of about 2,200 people located 25 miles east of Fargo along US Highway 10. Most visitors arrive via US 10 from either Fargo-Moorhead or the Detroit Lakes area, with the route from the Twin Cities following I-94 west to US 10. The Buffalo River runs right through downtown, creating small rapids that you can hear from the main highway bridge.
