Hawesville is a small Ohio River town in western Kentucky that serves as Hancock County's seat. Located about 90 miles from Louisville via the Western Kentucky Parkway and KY-69, it sits across from Cannelton, Indiana, connected by both a bridge and one of Kentucky's last operating government ferries, the Valley Forge, which has run since 1956.
