Hauser is a lakeside community of about 900 people in northern Idaho, 15 miles northeast of Coeur d'Alene via I-90 Exit 34. It's a quiet residential area popular with commuters to Coeur d'Alene and Spokane (45 miles west). The town sits on Hauser Lake with forest access and limited EV charging. Named after Montana territorial governor Samuel Hauser, who had mining interests here in the 1800s.
