Haugen is a farming town of 284 people in northwestern Wisconsin's Barron County. Highway 25 runs north-south through town, connecting to Rice Lake 15 miles south and Highway 53, the main four-lane route from the Twin Cities or Duluth. Most visitors come via Highway 53 then local roads. The volunteer fire department hosts a popular annual pancake breakfast at the community center.
