Haswell is a tiny farming town in southeastern Colorado's wheat country, about 160 miles from Denver via US 40 and Highway 96. Most visitors arrive from Colorado Springs (120 miles) or drive locally between Eads and Cheyenne Wells on Highway 96. The community of 52 people still gathers at the local post office to collect mail and share news.
