Hartman is a tiny farming community of 30 people in far southeastern Colorado, about 25 miles from Lamar via US Highway 50 and county roads. The area sits on the flat high plains where endless wheat and corn fields stretch toward Kansas. From Denver, it's roughly 275 miles via US 50 through Pueblo and La Junta, with EV charging available back in Lamar. The land here is so flat you can watch thunderstorms approach from miles away across the open prairie.
