Hartly is a tiny farming community in central Delaware, sitting along Route 8 in Kent County's agricultural belt. You'll find it about 15 miles north of Dover, accessible via Route 8 from either direction or by connecting from US Route 13. The area sees regular traffic from Dover Air Force Base and agricultural workers traveling between rural towns. The community was named after the Hart family, early settlers who ran the local post office from 1883 until 1992.
