Hartford sits about 40 miles northwest of Milwaukee in Wisconsin's farm country. Take I-41 north to Highway 60 west for the main route from Milwaukee, or Highway 16 east to I-41 north from Madison. The town centers around the Highway 60 and 83 intersection. Every June, Hartford hosts a hot air balloon rally that fills the sky with dozens of colorful balloons launching from Rossman Park.
