Harrington is a small city in central Delaware that sits along US Route 13, the main highway connecting Dover and Salisbury, Maryland. Most visitors arrive via US-13 from either direction, with Dover just 25 miles north and longer routes coming from Wilmington (60 miles) or the DC-Baltimore area (90 miles). The city serves as a regional hub for the surrounding farmland, with local routes connecting to Milford and the Delaware beaches. Every July, Harrington hosts the Delaware State Fair, one of the state's largest events that draws massive crowds to the historic fairgrounds right on US-13.
