Harrells is a tiny farming community in Sampson County, about 45 miles southeast of Fayetteville via NC Highway 24 from I-95. The area sits amid tobacco fields and pine forests typical of eastern North Carolina's agricultural region. Most visitors reach it by taking I-95 to Clinton, then following NC 24 east through rural countryside. The volunteer fire department, established in 1976, serves as the community's main landmark.
