Harlem is a small farming town of 822 people in north-central Montana, sitting right on US Highway 2 about 30 miles from Canada. It's surrounded by wheat fields and cattle ranches, serving as a supply stop for the agricultural region. The main route is US 2, which connects west to Havre (45 minutes) and east toward Glasgow. From Great Falls, take US 87 north to Fort Benton, then US 2 west. The massive grain elevators are visible for miles across the prairie.
