Hardin is a small town in southeastern Montana that sits along the Bighorn River on the Crow Indian Reservation. Interstate 90 provides direct access via Exit 495, making it a convenient stop between Billings (45 miles northwest) and eastern destinations. The town serves as county seat and experiences over 300 sunny days per year at 2,900 feet elevation. Each June, Hardin hosts Little Bighorn Days, featuring one of Montana's largest Native American powwows with traditional dancing and authentic tipi villages.
