Hanley Falls is a farming town of 248 people in southwestern Minnesota's Yellow Medicine County. Most visitors arrive via Highway 23, which runs east-west through town and connects to Highway 212 near Granite Falls about 15 miles northeast. The town sits along the Yellow Medicine River in prairie country, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Its historic mill dam on the river dates back to the late 1800s and remains visible today.
