Handley is a small West Virginia community of about 400 people located 15 miles southeast of Charleston along the Kanawha River. Reach it via US Route 60 from Charleston or take Exit 45 off I-64 near Malden. The town sits where US 60 meets State Route 61 in the river valley. The 1892 Handley Methodist Church, still active today, overlooks the Kanawha River from its original wooden structure.
