Hampton is a small county seat in south-central Arkansas, home to about 1,000 people. It sits along US Highway 278, which connects east to Camden and west toward Hope. Most visitors arrive via Highway 278 from Interstate 30 near Prescott, about 25 miles away. The 1913 Calhoun County Courthouse anchors the town square with its red brick walls and white columns.
