Hampden is a tiny farming community in north-central North Dakota's Ramsey County, about 20 miles southwest of Devils Lake. Reach it via US Highway 2 west from Devils Lake to State Highway 20, then local farm roads south. From Grand Forks (80 miles southeast), take US Highway 2 west through the prairie. The town's post office has served as the community anchor for generations of local farmers.
