Hammond is a small farming town in east-central Illinois, located along State Route 10 about 20 miles northeast of Decatur. Most visitors arrive via I-72, exiting at Cisco and driving north on Route 10. The area is classic Illinois prairie country with vast corn and soybean fields. Hammond's historic grain elevator complex serves as the town's most recognizable landmark along the rural highway.
