Hamilton is a small eastern North Carolina town on the Roanoke River, about 90 miles from Raleigh via US 64 and local roads. Highway 17 runs north-south through town, connecting to Washington (15 miles south) and Williamston (8 miles north). The area sits in flat coastal plain farmland with tobacco and soybean fields.
