Hamilton is a tiny farming town in south-central Iowa's Marion County, home to just over 100 residents. Highway 14 provides the main access from Knoxville to the northeast and continues toward Chariton. From Des Moines, take I-35 south to the Knoxville exit, then Highway 14 southwest for about 45 minutes through rolling farmland. The town's 1908 brick schoolhouse remains a notable landmark from its educational past.
