Hamburg is a small city of about 550 people in Carver County, 30 miles southwest of Minneapolis via Highway 212. The town sits on a dramatic bend of the Minnesota River, surrounded by rolling farmland and river bluffs. Highway 212 connects directly to the Twin Cities, while County Road 50 links to nearby Norwood Young America. The Minnesota River's sharp eastward curve here creates some of the most scenic river valley views in the metro area.
