Hamburg is a small Delta town in southeastern Arkansas, population about 2,900, sitting among cotton fields and timber operations. US Highway 82 runs east-west through town while Highway 8 goes north-south, connecting to Crossett, El Dorado, and Monticello. The humid climate brings hot summers and mild winters typical of the Mississippi River floodplain. Hamburg's most memorable landmark is its water tower painted to look like a giant hamburger, complete with bun and fixings.
