Hallsville sits in East Texas pine country, about 20 miles west of Marshall on US Highway 80. This small Harrison County town connects Longview's metro area with rural eastern Texas communities. Highway 43 runs north-south through town, while Interstate 20 passes 15 miles south. The original 1960s water tower on Main Street still displays the high school Bobcat mascot, visible from the highway.
