Hale Center is a small farming town in the Texas Panhandle, about 30 miles north of Lubbock via US Highway 27. This agricultural community sits among cotton fields and grain farms at 3,400 feet elevation. The historic grain elevator along US 27 has served as a landmark for travelers crossing the flat prairie landscape since the 1950s.
