Haileyville is a small coal mining town in southeastern Oklahoma, about 15 miles from McAlester via US-270 and Highway 63. Most visitors arrive from Tulsa or Oklahoma City on longer routes through the Ouachita foothills. The town's 1920s brick bank building still anchors the historic downtown district.
