Hagerman sits along the Snake River in south-central Idaho's high desert, about 15 miles west of Twin Falls via US Highway 30. Most visitors arrive from I-84, exiting at Bliss and heading south. The town of 1,300 is famous for the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, where scientists discovered the world's largest collection of Pliocene horse fossils dating back 3.5 million years.
