Hagaman is a small Mohawk Valley village in Montgomery County, about 40 miles northwest of Albany. Route 5 provides the main access, connecting to I-90 near Amsterdam for long-distance travelers, while Routes 30, 67, and 29 serve regional traffic. The village sits along the Mohawk River in rolling farmland. Its working Erie Canal Lock 11 still helps boats navigate water level changes along the historic waterway.
