Guilford is a tiny farming community of 77 people in northwest Missouri's Nodaway County. Located about 20 miles southeast of Maryville via Highway 136, it's surrounded by corn and soybean fields in the state's agricultural heartland. Most visitors arrive from Kansas City via a two-hour drive north through Cameron and Chillicothe. The town's preserved 1878 one-room schoolhouse offers a glimpse into rural Missouri's educational past.
