Gueydan is a small Louisiana town about 25 miles southwest of Lafayette, reached via Highway 14 from I-10 or US 167 south from Lafayette. Known as the "Duck Capital of America," it sits in prime rice country and hosts a popular duck festival each August celebrating the area's waterfowl hunting heritage.
