Gruver is a tiny farming town of 30 people in north-central Iowa's Emmet County. Reach it via US Highway 18, which runs east-west through the area, connecting to Mason City and Spencer. Most trips are local runs under 30 miles to Estherville or neighboring small towns, though some residents make longer drives to Fort Dodge for major shopping. It holds the distinction of being one of Iowa's smallest incorporated cities.
