Gridley is a small farming town in California's Central Valley, about an hour north of Sacramento on Highway 99. The main route connects directly to Chico, Yuba City, and the capital, making it a convenient stop between the Bay Area and Northern California. Highway 162 runs east-west through town toward Oroville. The restored 1920s State Theatre downtown still shows movies and hosts live shows.
