Grey Forest is a small Hill Country community of 640 people northwest of San Antonio, connected by Highway 16 (Bandera Road) for easy access to the city. Most residents commute about 20 miles southeast to San Antonio for work, while Loop 1604 links to other northwest suburbs. San Antonio International Airport is 25 miles away. The city maintains its rural character with large wooded lots and custom homes built among the native oak trees that inspired its name.
