Gregory is a small county seat in south-central South Dakota, home to about 1,400 people on the rolling prairie. Highway 18 runs east-west through town, connecting to Winner 30 miles away, while Highway 47 heads north toward Pierre. Most visitors arrive via I-90 through Winner. The town's standout feature is its 1909 red brick courthouse with a prominent clock tower that serves as a landmark from the highway.
