Access comes via Interstate 494 along the southern edge or Highway 100 to the east, with most residents making short trips to Minnetonka, Hopkins, and Edina for daily needs. Flying Cloud Airport sits right on the city's eastern border, and the community operates without a city hall, holding meetings at the Minnetonka Community Center instead.
