Greenfield is a small Illinois town of about 1,100 people, located 60 miles northeast of St. Louis in Greene County. Take I-72 to Exit 35, then head north on Route 267 straight into downtown. It's an easy 45-mile drive west from Springfield or about an hour from St. Louis via I-270 and I-72. The 1891 Greene County Courthouse with its distinctive clock tower dominates the historic town square and can be spotted from miles away across the prairie.
