Greene is a small farming town in Butler County, about 30 minutes from Waterloo via Highway 218 north and Route 14. The community of 1,300 sits on rolling prairie land, connected to Parkersburg by State Route 14. Its Main Street features the historic Butler County State Bank building from 1910, a brick structure with limestone trim that's been serving customers for over a century.
