Green Isle is a small farming town in south-central Minnesota, about 50 miles southwest of the Twin Cities. Highway 5 runs right through town, connecting to Highway 212 for easy access from Minneapolis-Saint Paul. The area is classic Minnesota farmland with corn and soybean fields stretching in all directions. Every June, the whole community turns out for Sauerkraut Days festival, featuring homemade sauerkraut and live polka music.
