Green City is a small farming town in north-central Missouri, reached via Highway 136 which runs east-west through Sullivan County. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 35 via Brookfield or from Kirksville on US 63. The surrounding countryside features rolling agricultural land typical of Missouri's interior plains. The town centers around its restored 1917 courthouse with a distinctive white clock tower that's visible from Highway 136.
