The city wraps around part of the airport itself, making it a natural hub for travelers. Highway 360 connects south to Arlington, while Highway 121 heads northeast toward Plano. The area features typical North Texas terrain with Grapevine Lake on the northern edge. Downtown still operates Texas's last working 19th-century cotton gin.
