Grant Park is a small farming town of about 1,400 people in rural Illinois, roughly 60 miles south of Chicago. Take I-57 south to Exit 312, then Route 17 west for about 10 miles. The flat prairie landscape is dotted with corn and soybean fields under expansive Midwestern skies. The town hosts an annual Sweet Corn Festival each August that's been running since 1976.
