Grant is a small Marshall County town of about 1,300 people located 60 miles southeast of Huntsville. US Highway 431 runs right through town, connecting north to Arab and south toward Birmingham, while Highway 69 heads east to Guntersville Lake. The rolling hills here mark where the Appalachian foothills begin, and several creeks flow from the area into prime bass fishing waters at Guntersville Lake.
